GALVESTON - Sunday afternoon Galveston Police stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of 30th Street for a traffic offense. Officers had observed the occupants of the vehicle walk in and out of the Knight's Inn Hotel at 3008 Seawall.
One of the occupants told the officer they had driven a passenger in the vehicle, Hope Martinez, to the hotel to deliver crack cocaine. Officers were also told that there were two occupants in a room that were probably using the drugs.
Martinez agreed to accompany the officers to the hotel room, which was identified as #131. The occupants of the room, Rose Phillips and Robert Williams, were interviewed and officers located what appeared to be crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

All three were arrested. A charge of Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance PG 1 was filed on Martinez. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bail. Charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 were filed on Phillips and Williams and they were held in lieu of $2,000 bail.
